Our Drop In and Have a Go at Bowls Day Proved Popular
We welcomed local residents from Chardstock and other villages including Tatworth and Alston to our bowls green on Sunday 9 August. They all came to have a go at bowls even though it was one of the hottest days of the summer. They were supported by our coaches Debbie and Gill who showed them how to bowl. Refreshments were available to cool down in the Clubhouse afterwards.

We hope to see them at our free coaching evenings on Monday from 6.00pm. See Free Taster Sessions and How to Find us for more information.
Congratulations to the 2026 Marshall Davenport Cup Winners

Congratulations to the 2026 winners of the Marshall Davenport Cup: Helen Copp, Gill Campbell and Philip Davenport. The cup was presented to the winners by Neil Barron (Chairman).

The Cup is named in memory of Philip's father Marshall Davenport and was introduced by his late mother Marjorie Davenport. Philip attended with his wife and sister in law and presented a donation to the Club for which we are very grateful.

The winning team won three of their four games with a shot difference of +15. There were joint runners up of two teams, both winning 2 games, drawing one and a shot difference of +3. The runners up were: Jonathan Milford, Andrew Dunster and Paul Fisher and Vanessa Barron, Colin Copp and David Cannings.

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a bring and share buffet and home made desserts prepared by our members.

The next Club Competition is the Anniversary Cup which is on Sunday 23 August starting at 2.00pm.
